ACCID is an association created as a link between professionals and academics working in the accountancy sector in Catalonia. It was founded in 2002 by the Col·legi de Censors Jurats de Comptes de Catalunya, the Col·legi d’Economistes de Catalunya, the Col·legi de Titulats Mercantils i Empresarials de Barcelona. Subsequently the Col·legi de Secretaris, Interventors i Tresorers de Catalunya joined, and in 2009 it joined the Col·legi Oficial de Gestors Administratius de Catalunya.
